The Biltmore estate is a National Historic Landmark, renowned for being America’s largest home. The Biltmore Estate provides scenic foliage tours of its vast gardens and landscapes. The estate also offers a winery tour which is included in the price of your ticket. If you’re looking for an extend stay, check into the world-class luxury inn.
The Biltmore House
Your ticket to The Biltmore Estate includes an audio tour of The Biltmore House. Within its walls, you will tour over 4 acres of floor space, 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms, and 65 fireplaces. On your walking tour of the house, you will venture into the basement which is a world of its own. Here you will pass by an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and changing rooms, bowling alley, servants’ quarters, kitchens, and more.
The Foliage Experience
The Biltmore Estate sits on over 125,000-acres that were elegantly designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the creator of New York’s Central Park and the father of American landscape architecture.
You can tour the Biltmore Estate by foot, horseback, or Segway tour. The main grounds offer views of the Biltmore Gardens, which are packed with mums and fall flowers during foliage season. There are several gardens located in close proximity to the house that you can easily tour by foot. For a more expansive view of the property and its foliage, I would recommend taking part in the Segway Tour or Horseback riding tour.
Many people are not aware that The Biltmore Estate is actually pet friendly! Although dogs are not allowed within the house, feel free to tour the grounds of the Estate with your leashed canine. Dogs are also welcomed in Antler Hill village, and all other outdoor areas of the estate.
