Every year Boston’s Harpoon Brewery hosts one of New England’s largest fall festivals- Octoberfest! This fall festival is designed after the German “Oktoberfest,” and includes festival events like Keg Bowling, Chicken Dance contests, and a German cake eating contest. Of course, the featured event is the sampling of fresh Harpoon beer!
The annual festival gathers thousands of locals and tourists during the first weekend in September when the celebration takes off. Three stages of music feature music from New England’s premiere German Oompa bands. When you hear these live musical performances echo throughout Boston, you’ll know it’s time to live by the Harpoon motto “Love Beer. Love Life.”
Boston’s Harpoon Brewery features a wide selection of fresh Harpoon beer including IPA and UFO Hefeweizen. Harpoon Octoberfest highly encourages a designated driver, and offers complimentary Harpoon draft sodas and nonalcoholic drinks at their Customer Service Center. Another safe option is the free shuttle which you can take from the South Station area.
Festival tickets for Boston’s Harpoon Octoberfest are $20.00 and include a souvenir Pint Cup and one (1) drink ticket. Cash bars offer a selection of fresh Harpoon & UFO beers for $5.00 a pint; you must be 21 or older and have proper I.D. Octoberfest is a rain or shine event, so bring your drinking game and get ready to enjoy the fall foliage at the Harpoon Brewery Boston festival.
