Stowe Vermont Fall Foliage 2009 Travel and Tourism Information

Thanks to for providing the following information about Autumn in the Stowe Vermont area. What are the projected dates for Stowe 2009 peak foliage season?

As you know, we cannot predict Mother Nature. Last year the peak was around Oct. 5th, which was a few days earlier than usual. Also, peak foliage is subjective. What roads and highways in the Stowe are are popular scenic routes for fall tourists?

We have suggested tours for tourists. Route 100 from the top of Vermont to the southern border is very scenic. Please describe any fall festivals or other public events that place in Stowe during foliage season.

September 25-26 is Octoberfest.

October 9-11 is the Fall Foliage Arts Festival with over 150 juried crafts. Are there historic sites in Stowe that are also known for their fall foliage displays?
