The foliage season begins around mid-September and goes through the
end of October, and sometimes to mid-November. Beginning in September,
CT foresters report the levels of colors spread across the state on a
colorful map. You can access this information at:

Foliage.org: Are there areas, vistas, scenic lookouts or other destinations within Fairfield County that are known for their uniquely beautiful autumn foliage displays?

Towns known for their fall foliage displays are New Canaan, Ridgefield &
Cannondale.

Foliage.org: What are the local and regional roads or highways that are favorite scenic routes for Fall tourists?

Popular scenic routes for Fall Foliage viewing are

Route 7 which travels northward through the countryside all the way
through to Massachusetts
The scenic & historic Merritt Parkway, Hwy. 15
And local backroads through the towns such as Route #136, 57, 123, 124 &
106.
